Occupy Boston Turns One Year Old

About 80 Occupiers gathered on the foot of the State House at noon Sunday, September 30 to celebrate the one year anniversary of Occupy Boston. Those gathered marked one year of struggling for social justice, with cake, balloons and snacks.

In the best spirit of the Occupy Movement, the party marched from the State House to Dewey Square to the banging of drums. Along the way, protesters chanted through the streets, “Banks got bailed out! We got sold out!” “No Obama! No Mitt! Both parties smell like shit!”One protester carried a tent that said, “Do something.”The march ended at Dewey Square, site of the Occupy Boston encampment from September 30 to December 10, 2011.
