The Legal tent is currently located near the banner at the front of the camp, between the info table and the Logistics tent. Someone is there most of the time to answer legal questions.
The National Lawyers Guild hotline is 617-227-7335! If you get arrested you can call this number from the police station and speak with a lawyer. Write it on your arm, because the cops will confiscate your cell phone if you get arrested.
We have arrestee intake forms for people to fill out if they think they might get arrested. This is how you can leave instructions about what to do in case of arrest, like “call my housemate to ask him to walk my dog”, or “call the police station to demand I receive my medication”. People with medical conditions in particular are urged to use this form.
We maintain a bail fund in case we need to bail anybody out of jail, and we need donations. Please bring donations to the legal tent.
