BOSTON, MA – The three “temporarily empowered” occupiers, accompanied by lawyers from the National Lawyers Guild, will participate in mediation with representatives from the City of Boston, the Boston Police Department and the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy.

During a chilled General Assembly on Thursday night, members of Occupy Boston achieved consensus on the Legal Working Group’s proposal to send these representatives to the mediation session. The court-mandated mediation will take place before the December 1 hearing for Occupy Boston’s temporary restraining order on the city.

The December hearing will determine whether or not protesters will retain the right to stay in Dewey Square.
